"Sweetly Storming" Bracelet

When I was growing up, one of my favorite things was a good Alabama thunderstorm. I'd sit on my grandparents' front porch and enjoy the clouds building and darkening on the horizon, the electricity in the air, the smell of rain and ozone on the wind.

It features dark-gray glass beads with a little texture and a silvery crackle effect that makes me think of lightning. The deep orchid-pink accents are dyed magnesite, with one coordinating snakeskin-patterned Czech-glass focal bead, and the finishing touches are silvery Czech glass and silver-plated metals.

Wipe this bracelet occasionally and gently with a plain, soft cloth to help maintain its beauty. If you notice tarnishing, wipe the metal components gently with a polishing cloth marked safe for silver plate.
