"Sweetly Storming" Earrings

Growing up in Alabama, I loved a good thunderstorm: the clouds building and darkening on the horizon, the electricity in the air, the smell of rain and ozone on the wind. If you appreciate the cycle of heaviness melting to lightness, of tension collapsing to relief--whether through a good cry, a great workout, or a tough decision finally made--these earrings are a wearable reminder of that feeling.

These little beauties feature dark-gray glass beads with a little texture and a silvery crackle effect that makes me think of lightning. The deep orchid-pink accents are dyed magnesite, and the finishing touches are Czech glass and silver-plated metals.

Earring "backs" are included. (Remember to twist these off and on rather than push and pull them directly.)

Wipe these earrings occasionally and gently with a plain, soft cloth to help maintain their beauty. If you notice tarnishing, wipe the metal components gently with a polishing cloth marked safe for silver plate.
